People who have inspired us ... part 2

My Idol, is none other than the very well known Amelia Earhart.

A short biography:

Amelia Mary Earhart, was born in USA in July 24, 1987 and mysteriously disappeared July 2, 1937, presumed dead at that time. Amelia, was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Amelia set many records in  her life, and the first one, was the "Distinguished Flying Cross" record. She also wrote three books in her life time. The first one is "20 hrs, 40 min" was a journal of her experiences in aviating, was written and published in May 1928. The second book she wrote, is "The fun of it", which was written and published in October 1932, and it is a memoir of her flying journeys above the Atlantic  ocean. The third and the last book Amelia wrote, is "Finale Maximo", which was later renamed as "The Last Flight". It was written by her, when she was trying to travel all around the world, and was published to the American newspaper one week after her sudden disappearance.

I idolize Earhart, because she was brave and she wasn't afraid to always state her opinion. She is the one that first created that moto "Carpe Diem (=Seize the day)" from latin, that we now use as our "Y.O.L.O". She believed that since people live once, they should enjoy every moment.
