Speeches 2014

Student Council Speech
Dear students,
My name is Eleni Ntoumani. As we all know, in a few days we are called to vote for the members of our school’s student council. Student councils offer huge benefits, to both the community and the pupils. For instance, the members of the students’ council communicate with the teachers and they work in partnership towards shared goals, such as solving educational problems and facing issues of student’s disruptive behavior.
Now, I would like to propose to you 3 reasons you should vote me as a member of a student council. Firstly, I’m a very responsible and well-organized person. Therefore, I can contribute to organizing the project of the council.
Secondly, the fact that I’m a part of the local community entails that I will help our school become a part of it. More specifically, I can listen to students and what they have to say in order for them to understand that they have a voice and their opinions count!
Thirdly, one of my greatest priorities is the improvement of the school facilities. For example, the football pitch and the chemistry lab.
These are only 3 of a bunch of other reasons you should vote for me as a member of the student council. I wish the best of luck to my opponents!

AND REMEMBER…ELENI NTOUMANI’S THE NAME AND YOUR INTERESTS ARE MY GAME!

Fellow classmates,
I proudly announce my nomination for the student council. I am looking forward to the possibility of serving you.
As you already know I am the new kid in school. That gives me the advantage of being able to look at things from a new perspective. I will be able to make changes that you haven’t even imagined.
First of all I will suggest to the principal that our teachers be graded by the students at the end of the year. Don’t be surprised. This is done in developed countries all over the world. You cannot begin to imagine how much the quality of the lectures will improve. After all, would you study as hard as you do now if you knew that no one would grade you? Believe me grading leads to perfection.
Secondly I will abolish all unfair practices. Attending classes will be voluntary. Think of our school as an open university where you will be able to attend any class that seems interesting.  Classes will be held outdoors. You will be able to enjoy the sun and the breeze while having a math lesson.
When I am elected president I will be committed to improving the lives of all of you by doing innovating things. Come share your ideas with me, and I will make them happen.

 Miranda Meleniou

Dear students,
My name is Danai Panou and as you already know I am a candidate of this year’s election for the student’s council. It is very important to elect the president of our school as he will represent you and decide for you. There are many things I can do for you and for school, such as trips, parties and anything else you want and I am able to do. I would like to be your president and cooperate with you to accomplish such beautiful things. I am sure that right now you are going to ask me “Why should we vote for you?” Well that is a good question and I have a good answer too!
Now, I would like to present you some of my ideas. Firstly, it would be great to have a big and amusing party in our school with food, drinks and music! The money that will be collected from the party will be used for a trip abroad wherever you want! Just remember that we must be able to afford this trip. Moreover, we should organize a campaign in order to clean and protect our school environment, this big and beautiful forest! We are very lucky to be students in a school inside a forest which is rare for most people. So I am thinking of having a free week off school once a year in order to take care of the forest!
To conclude, I would be very happy to be elected and accomplish what I suggest. My goal is to make you happy and create a pleasant school year!
And remember… vote for me just for you!

Thank you for your time!

My elections speech
Hello fellow classmates,
I’m Electra Lerou and I would like to be elected  president of the school student council. We always give our vote to the more eminent not because they are able to make a difference but because they are popular. Isn’t now the time to change this?
I believe that the post of the president is not as easy as it seems. A responsible and trustworthy person should take  over and I believe that I’m that kind of person. Furthermore, I’m able to defend the rights of the students and I will listen to their worries. Finally, I won’t promise extra PE lessons or less math courses and less homework because all these are beyond the things I can promise and let’s be honest everyone that promised such things, never kept his word.
Anyway, if you vote for me I will devote myself to improving our school environment and facilities. It’s your choice to vote who you want but I hope to be this choice.
Thank you

My speech:
Hello people,
My name is Marianna Panagiotou and I am a student of third class. Today are the elections for the 15- member student council. Through the 15 member council students can ask for the things that they want and be represented to the teachers and to the parents. As you understand this council is really important so you have to vote very carefully.
From my side I want to do the best for our school. I will try to fix all the problems that exist. Most specifically I want to improve all the school facilities. Secondly all the kids deserve more school trips and parties. One last thing which I think is  most important is that the students' rights must be protected. The 15 member council is responsible for all the things that I have just referred to.
Because my time is over please guys vote for me and I will be very happy to do the best that I can for our school!!!!

                                                                           Thanks for your time!!!
